Haivision’s cutting-edge hardware video encoders, software-based transcoding engines, and decoding platforms deliver ultra low latency glass-to-glass full motion video (FMV) and related metadata from any sensor to any operator, analyst or decision maker, whether stationary or mobile. Built for rugged environments, Haivision’s Makito and Kraken appliances are often integrated with the camera sources to optimize video quality and preserve interoperability from the source.

Designed for mobile ISR platforms and video backhaul systems, Haivision’s HEVC/H.265 encoders help you increase and optimize hiqh quality video and metadata that can be carried over existing datalinks. In addition, Haivision enables live H.264 to HEVC/H.265 and HEVC/H.265 to H.264, transcoding for transporting higher quality video using less bandwidth. That means you can send more high quality, low latency video over constrained datalinks, while still maintaining compatibility with your existing H.264 infrastructure.

Haivision streaming solutions support industry standard SMPTE Key-Length- Value (KLV) metadata transport within MPEG-2 transport streams with both MISB and STANAG compliance. Metadata is captured via serial port, ethernet or synchronously with the video over SDI. KLV and video synchronization is preserved by leveraging the MPEG-2 transport
stream Presentation Timestamps (PTS) allowing receivers to resynchronize the
metadata with the video. Decimation and filtering of metadata is also possible and helps balance bandwidth consumption with heavily compressed video over constrained pipes. Haivision encoders support Cursor on Target (CoT) metadata sources and convert this to MISB-compliant KLV metadata for transport alongside video.

Haivision’s ruggedized and multi-channel video encoders transport ultra low-latency, high-quality, AVC/H.264 and HEVC/H.265 video for ISR applications. The Makito X family of HEVC/H.265 and H.264 encoders and decoders delivers a complete video solution offering confidence, low latency, security, and reliability with a field-proven feature set. Haivision solutions enable situational awareness and exploitation for Command & Control (C2) and Common Operating Picture (COP) systems with density transcoding to maximize the quality of any ISR feed over satellite communication (SATCOM) and disadvantaged networks.

Haivision has the only video distribution system certified by the U.S. Department of Defense Information Network Approved Products List. Featuring high-quality, low-latency, encrypted video distribution powered by Haivision's SRT technology,
the Haivision Media Platform helps you to distribute live and recorded video securely and reliably for situational awareness applications.

Haivision solutions provide the video recording performance to capture multiple synchronized sources so analysts, engineers, unit commanders and even troops can monitor and review systems tests and training exercises in real-time and on-demand.

With support for KLV encoding and decoding, Haivision solutions provide real-time metadata synchronous with each video frame, so every moment has context.
